Picmonkey Photo Editing

Our first attempts at editing the photos we took on the Ipads. We used picmonkey.com which is a free photo editing site. More pics to come-we might submit some to the photo comp to win an ipod touch.

Waste Audit-EcoChallenge

Koru9-a Year 5/6 class from Glenbervie School in Whangerei challenged Room 5 to see how much waste we produce each day and to find ways of reducing our waste @ school.

Our Day walk to Lochmara-a 3 hour walk and a really fun day.

Our lovely Student Teacher-Mrs Chitty.

Mrs Anna Chitty will be in Room 5 for the next two weeks and will teaching 'sole charge' in Room 5 for 3 days this week.
She is looking forward to teaching a unit addressing the possibility of life on the Moon.
The children have responded really positively to the study of 'habitable' planets-so I look forward to the insights made by the children.
