Homework Projects

Room 5 Children are expected to read every night for at least 20 minutes.
You may wish to practice basic facts knowledge-especially in subtraction and division.

Students will be set 1-2 major homework projects each term.

Expect a fantastic construction/design project coming to a home near you in week 2.....

TERM 2 CHAPTER BOOK CHALLENGE:I challenge you to read as many chapter books by the end of the term as you can.Hey, it's winter-snuggle up with a blanket, hot drink and chew through some books.

Prizes for the child who: 

• Reads the most books.Reads the most pages.
• Reads the widest variety of books-different genre.
• Reads the most impressive selection of books-as completely subjectively decided by Mr Ashby  (hint NZ authors rock!)
• Most improved reader-the child who hates reading normally and gets stuck in and surprises themselves.
• Best Book Review
• Most Non-Fiction
