Was the First Moon Landing Faked?
We are digging up the dirt on the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.
Here are some of the first reasons we've found that some people argue the mission was faked:
Here are some of the first reasons we've found that some people argue the mission was faked:
- The Astronaut-Neil Armstrong appears to be attached by a wire whilst putting the American Flag on the moon.
- The American flag appears to be moving in the wind-but there is no wind on the moon.
- There appears to be no stars evident in the sky.
- Someone at a conference later on asked Neil Armstrong to put his hand on the bible and swear that they landed on the moon-and he refused!
- There was a rock with the letter 'c' on it.
- Most of the photographs have the shadows filmed in the wrong direction-appearing like it was on a film set.
- The glass stuff on the spacesuit showed the reflection of a studio light...
- In each photograph the same crater backdrop is used.
- There is no impact crater evident-which the spaceship would have made had it landed.
- Some photographic weirdness involving chest shots....
- The rocks brought back from the mission are the same as those from the Antartic.

Documentary making in progress...
The scientists busy reviewing their shot footage.
We are busy making films explaining important science-space concepts and more importantly 'what space knowledge would we need to keep if the world was to end...'
Watch this space!
Intense editing and filming in progress. Film deadline is Friday 21st June. Can't wait to see the finished movies.

Magnificent Moon Maths!
We are using some amazing maths skills to calculate a few different problems.
We started by first measuring the volume of our classroom-an epic 225 cubic meteres!
Amelia's calculations

- Firstly, how much fuel will it take to get to the moon? Easy-google it.
- Then, can that amount of fuel fit inside our school hall?
We started by first measuring the volume of our classroom-an epic 225 cubic meteres!
Amelia's calculations
So we need to measure the volume of the hall space.
Then compare the amount of fuel needed to get to the moon, to the volume of the hall.
Then compare the amount of fuel needed to get to the moon, to the volume of the hall.
We also need to convert the unit measurements into litres-how do we do that?
Here are some super exciting photos of maths books! But seriously-check out the calculations! Amazing!

Here are some super exciting photos of maths books! But seriously-check out the calculations! Amazing!
We found out that it takes 3,787,350L of fuel to get to the moon-approx.
We measured our school hall and found the Length, Width and Height.
21.5x13.5x3.8m= 1102.95 cubic metres
So we needed to convert this to Litres.
We know there are 1000L in 1 cubic metre- so we had to times the volume by 1000 to get the Litres that fit in our hall.
1102.95x1000=
So our school hall can fit 1,102,950L of fuel
Questions: Would our school hall fit the amount of fuel needed to get to the moon?
Answer: No because, the total amount of fuel needed for getting to the moon is 3,787,350 L
If 1,102,950 L is what we fit in our hall 3,787,350L of fuel would not fit in our school hall
We would need 3.43 halls

Ralph comes for a flying visit
This morning Izzy brought in her pet rabbit Ralph. He was warm and cuddly and very happy to be the star attraction. Izzy's mum told us some interesting facts about floppy eared rabbits and how to keep them occupied and stimulated.

Password in a pill! A provoking article...
Lately in the class room 5 we watched a video about pills and tattoos but no ordinary pills and tattoos! The way the pills worked were- You took a pill and then if you forgot a password or something on the computer then your body would send out information to the computer of your password and etc. The way the tattoos worked were sort of the same the way the pills worked, so if you forgot something on your computer then it would scan the tattoo and then it would come up! Smart right? Watch this video down below. By Polly
